I'm surprised to see most of the terrible ones have gone away from the top ten. And glad to see nothing on our short list made this article. http://moms.today.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/11/30/9126821-the-most-popular-baby-names-of-2011-revealed
Re: Top Baby Names of 2011
I feel sorry for the kids named by Twihards. How many of those Isabella's are going to be "Bella's"? From what I know (admitting I have not seen the movies or read past the first few pages of the horrible first book) Bella is not someone I would want to name a daughter after. Oh well, at least there is no Renesmee (is that it? I just remember seeing it in some review and I thought it was horrible ) on the list, YET.

I have this same fear about Baby Fuss's name. Every time I hear someone else has given their baby the same name, or was even thinking about it, I have a little panic that it's going to be the new "thing." Maybe it's because I have such a painfully common, er... popular name and I've always hated that.
When I was growing up a lot of kids were named Erin so I always had to use my last initial in school. I like the name (easy enough to pronounce, short, etc.) but would have liked something unique.
I really dislike the aiden/jayden etc. names. Ick.
When you've been married this long, you need a ticker to remind you.

The little dude's name is on the boy list. Thank god it's not a "rhymes with Aidan" name. Anything that rhymes with Aidan, that is NOT Aidan, irks me.
I really like a lot of the girl names but suspect by the time I have any hypothetical kids, there will be something like 8 Olivias per classroom at school, and I don't want to do that to my kid.
Haha, I do this too! People always seem to think this is crazy or rude, but it's sanity preservation as far as I'm concerned. I think we have the same name. (Figures.)
Of course we do. We were probably born in the same year, give or take 2, as well.
Agreed. Hayden is a family name for H and he's like to use it, but I'm on the fence, even as a middle name.
Several of our family's short list made the top 10. IDK why though.
Our reasoning behind the choices are quite personal, but certainly not due to twilight.
Nope. My FI has an Irish first name and an Italian last name. And my favorite boy names are all Irish.
