s/o thighs rubbing.......

i can't be the only person whos fat thighs rub together when i wear a skirt. and when it's hot/sweaty out, my legs rub until they are red, bumpy, and just ouchy!

i've tried lots of methods....baby oil works best (baby absorbing powder, deodorant doesnt work....)

what do you guys do? or are you all just skinny btchs where your legs don't rub?

I've heard really good things about this stuff:

    http://www.amazon.com/BodyGlide-Bodyglide-Anti-chafe-For-Her/dp/B005MJE1SG

This exactly.  I use it when I run half marathons and it is a life saver

  • I don't wear skirts much. When I do, either I'll ignore 'em rubbing together or I'll wear nylons (or Spanx), lol.

  • I have a glide stick like that but it's technically for feet so shoes don't blister. Whatever, it's cheaper and works on the thighs! And thank heavens, because I thought I was the only one who suffered this except for significantly larger women.

Do you use the Band Aid brand stuff? If so, I second this. I carry a stick in my bag and I haven't gotten any blisters on my feet since I've starting using it.

  • Can I just roll my eyes because I can...?? Confused haha

For me it's never been a problem but it's probably because I'm so used to wearing skirts. I spend probably close to 98% of the time in a skirt. Not to say that it never is uncomfortable, but I guess I've never thought about it.

Actually that's not quite true, they do.... but like I said I think part of it for me is I've grown up wearing a skirt so that's just the way it is.

I wasn't eye-rolling about them getting raw... trust me it's not fun, I know that myself. More about the matter, of how I have the same problem and still wear skirts that much.

    Hmm

  • Before I lost the weight, I had this problem all the time (my thighs are still pretty massive actually).

The two products that worked the best for me were Bodyglide and Monistat chafing gel. For bodyglide, don't get the "girl" version, because it's the same stuff, and just more expensive.

Yes, the Band Aid brand! I'm sure it's the exact same stuff as the more expensive stuff marketed for thighs.
