Well, clearly we were wrong! Both Chris and Rachel are safe!!
So Marcus, Josh, Drew, and Astro are in the bottom.
Astro may be an @$$ but he's super talented so I hope he sticks around. Then again, if he's next to Josh, I'd maybe pick Josh.

Wow. Heart wrenching results night. Drew has a great recording voice and I liked her a lot but Simon messed things up for her last night and on other nights as well. Still, overall she did better than Marcus. But tonight she did not and it was fair for the ladies to say "based on tonight, I am sending Drew home." He was better. He truly sang to save himself. There's no rule that tells them to judge based on the whole competition or just the safety song so it is what it is.
I found it interesting that Marcus was so good tonight when it was just him on the stage with a mic- no corny dancing, with 50 back up dancers, a laser show, etc. Assuming that all of that is a part of his performance next week, taking away from his singing, he'll probably be in the bottom again. lol
I actually expected Rachel to be in the bottom. She's talented but very hit or miss performance wise.
Astro, as I've said before, didn't need to win this show. He will still have a chance in the rap/hip hop world.
The only person that HAD to be safe for me was Melanie.
But I like everyone who is left just enough.

I'm a Drew fan, and have been since the beginning. BUT, based on tonight's performances, I would have sent her home too. I've never really loved Marcus, but he truly sang for safety tonight. He should definitely cut out all the extras from his future performances and just sing, because he's so much better when he does that.
I'm a little sad Astro went home, but I agree with the pp who said he didn't really need to win to get a deal. I would put money that several hip hop producer have already contacted him.
I'm pretty content with the results, although I would've like to have seen Chris leave 3 weeks ago...I'm not a fan at all and I'm surprised he's still there!
Astro is talented, but I figured he'd be eliminated soon.
I think Drew has a unique voice, but I was getting bored with her performances. Marcus sang better tonight, IMO, and I agree with the PP who said he sings so much better without all the extra music and performers.
Like many other people, I think (and hope) it will come down to Melanie and Josh in the finale.
Seriously judges? Drew is a million times better (and more marketable) than Marcus. He should have gone home hands down. I hate LA Reid - such a douchebag. I feel like all three judges (aside from Simon) felt like they'd be eating their words if they kept Drew and wanted to save face but knew they probably should have sent home Marcus.
This show is losing it for me. I am so over Melanie. She is a totally different person that the girl Simon brought back. She doesn't seem humble anymore. That freak out after her performance a week or so ago? Ridiculous.
And Chris Rene?? For real? WHO is voting for him??

Josh was in the safe bunch, as I figured. I still think it'll come down to him and Melanie in the finals.
Sorry - hate to go against the grain here but I'm glad Drew is gone. I actually thought Astro would stay longer than Marcus too. Don't get me wrong - I like Marcus. But I still thought Astro would be around longer, getting votes of the younger crowd & all.
I didn't watch the results show yet but THANK YOU for getting rid of Drew. I liked her at the beginning but was ready for her to go the moment I realized that every song she sings sounds the same.
I actually like Marcus a lot. I know they kept saying he's such a great "performer" and I think that's why LA Reid keeps setting him up with these over the top performances. I'd really like them to take the lights & dancers down a notch so people can really enjoy him more.
I couldn't stand Drew- I fast forwarded through her song once I heard it was ANOTHER slow song. Yes, she's good at that, but what ELSE can she do??
I am surprised Astro is gone, but also not surprised. He was a GREAT entertainer but he really couldn't do a lot of the weekly themes because of the fact that he can't sing.
I hated Marcus' last fight song or whatever. I can't believe he moved on because of that song.
