looking for brilliant DH gift ideas...
Why are men so hard to shop for? I am completely stumped this year on what to get DH for xmas...
Re: looking for brilliant DH gift ideas...
I will say I'm really proud of myself for coming up with DH's "big" gift this year: tickets to see Jim Gaffigan at the Warner Theater in February. We both love him, and he's actually taping his next show there, so it should be really fun.
Is your DH into gadgets? Would he be more into an "experience" (show, beer making, that kind of thing)?

what are his interests?
my DH is thankfully pretty easy to shop for. last year, i got some jack black products for his stocking and now he requests the face scrub and turbo body wash.
other recent hits:
living social coupons for tacklebox and brasserie beck (i made cards for these and wrapped them in small boxes)
tickets to a celtics/wizards game
anything star wars or beer-related is generally a win with my DH
I haven't come up with anything "brilliant" - DH's big gift this year is a painting (well really a pastel) that he fell in love with when we were in Annapolis over the summer. I went back and got it a couple of weeks ago while he was traveling.
He is also trying to learn more about wine, especially reds, to have a little something in common with my dad, who loves red wine, so I ordered him a six bottle red sampler with info about the notes in the wine, etc, from www.tastingroom.com. They have a coupon for new customers for $10 off the samplers (they range from $29 - $69 or so) and I thought it looked like a fun, kind of different, gift. (the code is WELCOME10). I may look into a beer of the month type of club too, as he has been enjoying tasting new craft types of beers lately.
next time your parents are in town, you should all go to fabbioli in leesburg together! love their reds!
ooh, thanks for the rec - always looking for something new!
we seriously love them. went in june and then brought friends back in october. we never leave with less than a case
Ooo great suggestion! I might get this for my dad, actually. DH is into beer...and he's thinking about getting into kettle bells, but I'm not sure what I can do about that interest...
