Progress!!
Can I just say that I MISS YOU GIRLS?! I've been knee-deep in house projects the last week and I'm TIRED of it. It is no longer fun. lol My parents got here yesterday (they had DD with them since last Saturday), so at least I have some fresh blood to help us.
Anyway, the main reason for this post...my sewing room is done being painted! It's done! I painted it a happy, cheery yellow and I can't wait to decorate it! I bought my peg board yesterday (I'm using half the sheet in the pantry, so the other half is going in my sewing room above my desk), and I'm so excited about finally having a REAL sewing room!
The sewing room is only one of two finished rooms, but that's ok, we're getting there. What's taking so long is painting the trim, it was an ugly, dark color that just dragged the house down. Things are looking so fresh and updated now! Here is a quick before and after!
The color is a little off in these pictures, it's actually quite a bit lighter than it looks. That funny piece of trim at the top is going to be hidden by a high shelf that goes across the room for some extra storage (there's no closet in there). My huge desk will go against that wall, a quilt will be hung over a smallish bookshelf where that circle is (it's a vent going outside, they had a wood stove in there but it's really not needed, so DH stuffed a ton of insulation in there and is going to seal it off somehow), and my design wall (white flannel) is going on the wall to the right. The other side of the room will be our office, a small desk for DH, a file cabinet, and a bigger bookshelf.

We won't be finding out! We had our big ultrasound a couple weeks ago at 18 wks and decided to not find out since we didn't with Lily. I'm thinking boy, but I also thought Lily was a boy... lol
