So happy that Molly is better. Is she home? If you don't mind, what exactly happened? I understand she had some sort of infection that landed her in the hospital and required draining. How did she deal with everything? I'm sure it was much worse for you and Cory.
Hope you never have to deal with another hospital stay for her!
Re: Tiffany (Cory'sWife)
Short version: Molly had a yeast rash that got infected. Took her to the ER Saturday and got antibiotics. Next day she spiked a fever and what had been a pea sized place was a huge 50 cent piece abscess. They admitted her and started high powered IV meds. Sunday. Fever wouldn't stay down and she kept getting worse so Tuesday they put her under and drained the abscess. She was instantly a new kid. We came home Wednesday. Yesterday I go back to work and MIL calls to tell me Molly is vomiting in controllable. Call the pedi and they send us back to the ER. She gets fluids and zofran for a stomach virus. Not related, just bad timing. While Im with Molly in the ER DH is also home sick. Our friend calls to tell me that she came over to bring him Gatorade she found him delirious on the floor. She takes him to the ER. I get finished with Molly, take her to my moms to be with DH. Who was severely dehydrated from the same stomach virus. Finally we are all home today and semi healthy.
This has seriously been the hardest week as a mom/wife ever. Holding your baby down while she is stuck for the millionth time in days is heartbreaking. She started saying "no no no" anytime she saw someone in scrubs. I'm just really glad this seems to be over with.
Eta: sorry that's not very short!
What an ordeal. I'm sorry you all had to go through that.
I am so glad that you are all starting to get healthier. What a terrible week!
