Minds out of the gutter!
Anyway-I've been resisting getting internet at home, because I sit in front of a computer all day. But, now that I am a senior (whoop, whoop!) and will be going to grad school soon, I probably just need to get w/ the times.
So, how much do you pay w/ Cox?
Speed?
I'd just be hooking my laptop up to it, and perhaps D might run his xbox 360 for xbox live. Maybe eventually we will stream netflix on it. (Can we stream netflix from the xbox? I am so clueless.)
We have Cox tv now, so I thought it would be easiest to go with. Should we go w/ Qwest?
And, related, but sorta not.....we have digital cable and dvr in the living room. In the bedroom we just have 1-71, no digital. I'd kinda like digital and a dvr in the bedroom, but we pay $150 for just the small amount we have now!
So ticked that our apt sits on the wrong side of the bldg, so we can't go Dish/DTV.

Ok so. We got all hooked up last night. (This is where my adhd comes in handy because I can pull the trigger on impulses like this. Maybe not so good at times, but we just dropped a $200 bill, so I felt we could treat ourselves)
Our bill was like $150, and we just had 1 dvr, and advanced tv.
For the next six months our bill will be $157 something, and includes 2 dvr's, advanced tv on 2 tvs (and basic cable on third-but we always had that) and the preferred internet. After the 6 months, it goes to like $188. But, when I was using my broadband internet, it was like $40 a month and we were essentially paying $190. Oh and they gave us Showtime (or starz or cinemax if we decide to change them)for free as long as we keep preferred internet.
Am I being bent over on these prices? I didn't think it was too bad for what we are getting. And, having the dvr in the bedroom ROCKS my socks off.
