Lurker in, that several of you know, I can never remember my on-line name to reply.  Anyways... how did Tutor Time go?       Did you and Hudson like it?   I saw Emily checking the Friday schedule for openings for the 4 year olds room so I wonder if you're giving it a try????

If you do go for it, if you say you were referred by someone, you And that person get free time!

SO, if you do....  I'll gladly refer you.  I'm Nancy Rice  (formerly Changes) (as I hear some of you saying ahhhh)   or you could use Beth H if you remember her instead.  Either way, its worth the free time.   We've been there since July and are really liking it.  Beth has been there since Christopher was born.

Another mom here can testify for loving the 'new' director too (that you didn't meet, she's out on maternity leave).

Good Luck with your appointment tomorrow!

sorry all, I couldn't figure out how to send PM's here either.  lol

Re: ***Goodgollie**

  • How long has it been that you've been here, lady?!  ;)

I can attest to the awesomeness of the regular director at that center.  She was at the one Willa went to as an assistant, and then got this position.  She is fantastic!

  • Oh my gosh, thank you!  I will definitely use you as a referral if we choose to go there.  I'm glad to hear you are both happy with it.  Hudson loved the indoor play area and cried when we had to leave.  I'm probably going to take him next Friday to use the free day coupon.  I was a little shocked at the price as I thought Spectrum's daycare was pricey, so its something we will have to consider.  Thanks so much girls!  Are either of your kids in the 4-year old room?

  • My kids don't go there.  They were at the place where TT's current - but on maternity leave - director was just before she landed her current job.

  • yes, we are in the 4 year old room, teacher is Miss Cassie and we really like her.   The room is a good mix of boys and girls.  My daughter has Really thrived since being there.

They make it a win/win to bring in people for sure, giving both a little financial bonus

Beth has also been really happy there

The playroom is great isn't it?

The price, yes its enough to make you choke, but centers do.   Did you check out Goddard at all?  they are on Cascade, near watermark country club.  They are about the same price.  Their play area is more of an open gym.   They provide snacks, but not lunch, you make your own.  Pro or Con depending on the parents.

I would imagine Spectrum is more affordable since they don't have to have as much of a profit margin as a center.

Now back to you, since you're talking about next Friday your fluid must be ok and baby is baking a bit longer????

GRsweetpea... yes its been a long time.   I lurk once in awhile.  How is said director with new baby since you are a fb friend of hers.

  • She seems to be doing great.  Kind of quiet on FB, but she has her hands full.

    Delaney is beautiful.

Seriously?  DH really wants to send Hudson to Goddard, but I really want the daycare closer to our house so he can drop Hudson off in the am while I take the baby.  I just assumed they would be ungodly expensive.  Hmm.

  • I expected them to be a lot more expensive too, they really were not.   You can factor the food part too, but they were pretty close.       Sounds like you need to compare.     I hate to say, the deciding factor for us was the playroom, and the lunch thing.   I feel like I'm awful feeding them as it is, I couldn't see packing lunches daily.   I know, I know, I'll be doing it once they are in school, but hopefully their eating habits are a bit different by then.

    The director there seemed nice.
