Re: Ojo
It's such an odd feeling. I'm really not feeling well, but I still have an urge to POAS to make sure it's still positive, as if all my side effects are from my hormone supplements and stress.
It's surreal to wait so long, be so busy with IVF stuff, cramming all the information I can into my amazing brain....and now we just wait.
I think lots of ladies feel that way at the beginning. It's a giant mind f*ck until that first u/s. When is your u/s?
As trite as it sounds, not feeling well is a good sign.
Yay!! They'll be the cutest little flickering blobs you've ever seen.
Yay! So exciting.
My Blog
I'm sorry you're feeling sick, but like SMW said: sick is a good thing! I'm so excited for your first ultrasound!
eeeee!! yay!!!!
I changed my name
Do you get to hear a heart beat at this one? I have no idea how it works. Will they record it? Will you play the recording in a phone message to me?
The Tricare guy told me yesterday they won't even print out u/s pictures. Apparently that's not a covered cost. They're trying to get manning to do u/s on base, with those photos being incentive for us to stay on base (no o/b on base though).
I know I'm far enough along to see the heartbeat, but I think I might be borderline for hearing it.
I'm going to tell the radiologist Joe is deployed (hence MIL acting as my partner for the day), so hopefully they'll hook me up with a disc and/or picture. If not, I'll have MIL record it on my phone, then send Joe and you links to it.
If they're already paying for the plain old U/S, will they allow you to simply pay out of pocket for whatever else you want?
Bring your phone and video record for Joey!
My OB & MFM put all our u/s on recordable dvd's. We just brought it back in every u/s. Will they do that?
I'm SOOOOOOO excited for you!
Yay! The two could've split, right? So there could be like, 4?
I didn't get a print-out of the ultrasound until my 12 week appt (had 4 ultrasounds at that point already). My mom used her phone to record the ultrasound being done (both of me & the screen) then e-mailed it to J. When I was able to hear the HB on the doppler I also recorded that & sent it to J.
I also bought a doppler and loved having it. It was a great way for T to connect to the baby when I was only a little ways along.
I'm also going to add that it's a good thing if you feel "under the weather". It's proof your baby(ies) are growing and healthy as can be!
How many weeks are you now?
As of last night, they couldn't hear the heartbeat and they couldn't see much from the ultrasound on the outside of the belly. We got super clear images with the transvaginal ultrasound though.
I might take you up on that, but I'm scared that I'll make myself overly paranoid. I've still got ten weeks before I'd be able to hear anything, so if you haven't lent it out to anyone else, I'll let you know! Thank you!
Last night's u/s was the longest wait of my life. When the guy finally turned the screen to face me, I could see the two babies clear as day, and another similar sized dark spot off to the left. I was sobbing and asked him to tell me that dark spot was not a third baby. I would have died. That was Joe's hesitation about transferring two in the first place.
