Does anyone in out there regret not having kids? Why or why not?
Re: To have kids or not?
Not in the least- I just don't want them and I'm not going to regret making a decision that is right for my husband and me. Plus it is fun rolling around in all the extra money we have.
An American Girl's Travels
Kuus - I love your siggy. I LOL'd and showed my H - he likes it too lol.
Alithebride - your siggy actually makes me really jealous - I want to go to Rome too! I seen it a week or so ago and decided to look up Ireland.
Hopefully I don't have any regrets later either. Maybe the trip to Ireland will help
ExH and I were together over 7 years before we got pregnant - was not planned, it just happened. After we had been together about 4 years, I thought babies were not part of my future, and I was at peace with it. I had my first son at age 30, my second son at 33.
I think I would have been OK with not having kids - you cannot miss something you never had.
I would've been okay without kids, but we decided after 12 yrs of working, studying, traveling and living overseas that we wanted to have one.
The traveling has not and will not stop for us. 'We're going to Norway, Denmark and Sweden next year just DH and I. And once LO is a bit older we'll start taking her too.
I adore my DD, but I'm glad we did all the things we wanted to before we had her. I'm also glad we have enough cash to continue to do the things we love, like travel, even though we have her.
If you have to ask, the answer is no.
Seriously. I am the farthest thing from a mommy marytr, but if you aren't sure, run!
debatable.
I've happily decided that, just because I might be a good mother, doesn't mean I have to be a mother...I also don't have to be a Walmart greeter, an astronaut, etc. My life is fulfilling as is. I'm actually not even sure why anyone would have kids on purpose ;P
So, no, I don't, nor do I ever expect to, regret not having children.
LOL awesome!! I'm jealous now too-Ireland is SO high up on my list!! come over to the trave board and post a review of your trip when you return
