Please recommend your daily moisturizer

I currently use the "Timewise" Mary Kay daily moisturizer.  I've used MK daily facial moisturizers for years.  It may be time to move on.  I pay $22 a tube now and I figure for that same amount (or less would be great!) I may try something else.

I have an oily T zone and dry cheeks, so I guess I have combination skin.

What should I try?  I've use MAC makeup and Mary Kay skin products for many moons, and it's probably time for me to branch out.

Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.

Re: Please recommend your daily moisturizer

  • haha, I was going to recommend that!  I use it too, but my SIL sells Mary Kay and lets me have it for her cost, which is half of the catalog price.

  • i've liked most of the neutrogena moisturizers, used daily defense for several years. i've recently liked this one from boots (available at target)

and may consider this one because i like tinted moisturizer more than foundation:

  • I use Oil of Olay Complete (it has SPF and some vitamins). You can get it really cheap at Costco. They make a combination/oily version. I have an oily t-zone too (but not the dry cheeks) and I use the regular version and it's fine.

  • I use Philosophy's Hope in a Jar.  Not cheap, but I usually buy it when I have Ulta points to get some extra $ off.....
  • I love Kiehls. The Ultra Facial Moisturizer lasts a long time and does not irritate my sensitive skin.

This. I alternate between this and Neutrogena Daily Defense.

I use this for daytime and it works well.

At night I use a product called AHA souffle by Alpha Hydrox. It has 12% AHA, and it's very reasonably priced (around $15). There are high-end brands that charge $50 for similar products. I found it at Ulta, and you can also order it online. I've seen a dramatic improvement in my skin since I started using it.
