Is it just me?

Or do I not have the same craving for sex anymore. Whenever my bf initiates it, I really want to have sex but yet I feel different when I do it. It's been like this ever since my son was born 5 months ago and I was just wondering what I can do to get back the same craving for sex that I used to before I got pregnant.

  • Hormones from pregnancy can take a while to settle back to normal.  Remember, biologically, nature wants the mother to put her energy into caring for the newborn, not off making more babies, so your body is sabotaging your sex drive.  Plus, the drain from a new born will drain the drive from any person.

Give yourself a break, have the baby stay with someone overnight, go to a motel room, take a good long nap and then have a bit of fun with your BF.

    Great advice.

  • Dude, you're 5 months pp. I think I was at least nine months pp before I even remotely felt like having sex again. Give it time.

Yup, just break for a while you'll find it back eventually.

Great advice! Definitely spend some time away from the baby, relax, unwind, and then spice things up in the bedroom if you would like to get back to it ;-)
