My ego is getting a bit douchey lately:
Last night went to Olive Garden with my brother and nephew. The entire meal our server kept pouring me these free wine samples...but wasnt just pouring a little bit...she was pouring it over half full every time. And this after I told her I didnt want to buy any wine. So of course I am bragging like it is because she likes me, but in reality she was doing to get a big tip. My brother was kind enough to point that out.
Someone needs to thump my skull.

That was me. You are right that there is probably nothing you can say or do. Everyone has to learn from their own mistakes. Or maybe they will be lucky enough and it won't turn out badly like it has for so many of us that got married young.
