When I was about 9 years old or so my family got a "new" computer that had windows 98 on it - so I got the one with 95 (I think that's what it was anyways - lol).
We didn't have internet or anything but I kept a diary on the computer. I was so slow at typing though, which I thought was because the keys were in an order that made absolutely no sense. So I popped off the keys and arranged them in alphabetical order so that I could find the letters more quickly. Needless to say this didn't work out the way I planned ; )
But that's how I learned to touch type - LOL
Don't know what made me think of this, but it made me start giggling madly for no apparent reason so I got some pretty odd looks from passers-by.
Any funny childhood memories you'd like to share?
Re: Funny memory I thought I'd share...

I have no good ones I can think of right now.

Mine is that my parents told me when I was younger that magnets broke the refrigerator instead of just telling me that my mom thought it tooked tacky to have magnets on the fridge. When I asked why my friends' parents had them on the fridge my mom said because they were dumb and not tell them that they were breaking their applicances with magnets. It wasn't until I got to COLLEGE that I learned the truth! I still give my mom crap about lying to me so she didn't have to have tacky magnets up
haaahahaha!
See, I just skipped all the work and lied and told everyone I had seen Santa.
I even wrote it in my diary in case anyone thought to read there whether I wrote that I had made it up. When I was flipping through my first diaries a few years ago I ran across that gem and felt like a total idiot. I was kind of a pathological liar when I was young.
That's too funny! Not a pathological liar, just over creative ; p
