I just got a rather large box in the mail from MIL.
Filled with Star Trek Christmas ornaments.
There's like 40 of them.
Re: OMGWTFBBQ
Dh would love that!! lol
and stanley would too, I'm betting
I changed my name
I would be so down! I have a couple, but then again I've been to Star Trek conventions. I totally met Michael Dorn. Be jealous, lol.
Was your H really into it?
Not that I'm aware of, but he will be interrogated and mocked when he returns from his TDY.
I totally know who that is.
And Mel, I love the the title of this post...I think I'm going to start using it in conversation.
I'm jealous of you and I'm jealous of OP.
My MIL has a Star Trek Christmas themed tree, and is a "trekker." Evidently this is somehow different from a "trekkie." I'm glad your DH will be adequately mocked upon his arrival!
I would be down for that too. Someday we plan on having a sci-fi tree (Star Trek and Star Wars both) in addition to our traditional tree.
Stan this is for you:
She was so stoked to meet baby S, she made everyone in line wait while she played with him, and demanded that we get pictures...lol. Michael Dorn, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with the wee man...lol.
Lol that they lived up to their character stereotypes. Deanna was my least favorite character until the last couple seasons. When I met Dorn, I was 10, and TNG was still in, so maybe he's just bitter now.
67/200
Dorn didn't seem bitter as much as nervous; like he's not really a people/crowd person. He was very soft spoken, which surprised me, and almost anti-social. Maybe he played a Klingon too long...lol
Sirtis was a lot of fun though, she talked to us for quite awhile after her line died down. She absolutely refused to take payment for her autographed pictures once she learned C was AD, and insisted on giving us one for C and I and a separate one for S. Her FIL, whom she apparently respects a great deal, is a retired AF officer, and she and C spent a while talking about how the AF has changed in the last several decades...lol.
