Question about preserving canvas panels
The kids and I painted some Christmas pictures on canvas panels today. They turned out way cuter than I expected them to so I was thinking of framing them. I have a few questions though.
We painted with Crayola fingerpaint and washable paint. Will this mean they won't last as long? Is there some sort of spray or coating that I should put over the finished picture? I have a fixatif spray and it says it can set oil pastel drawings, but didn't mention paint.
The panels are 11x14. Can I just put them in a normal picture frame? Should I leave in the glass?
Thanks for all of your help!
I'll post some AW pics once they're done drying. They're all kid handprint/footprint pictures but really cute.

Re: Question about preserving canvas panels
Ah, I hadn't thought of the oil/water based issue with the fixatif. Thank you!
Now I just need to keep my 2 year old from bathing them...
