Men are so oblivious...
So, I have worked at my job for almost 6 months now. My boss had me go out to the store to buy some Christmas cards for us to mail to our clients. I go over how he wants me to write the cards with him, then write out a sample card to go show him.
His first response? "Wow you have beautiful handwriting!". I am flattered by the compliment, but my first thought was..."Haven't I been working here for 6 months?"
I have left several notes on his desk and he has seen my handwriting on countless occasions. I have to chuckle a little at this.
Anybody else have an oblivious man in their lives?

I laughed when I got my haircut the day before Thanksgiving and DH didn't say anything. Tuesday I said "tomorrow I'm getting a haircut..." followed by a list of other errands. Wednesday when he saw me he asked how my day was and I said it was good "I got my haircut..." and listed other errands I ran. NOTHING. I didn't actually care but I totally laughed that it was a 'stereotypical husband' not noticing his wife's hair. Ooooh men..
I'm notorious for not commenting on my husband's haircuts. He will call on his way home from work and tell me he's stopping to get a haircut, get home and I won't comment. Sometimes I just sorta feel like 'you get the same haircut every time, it looks exactly the same every time, and you told me you were doing it, so why do I have to tell you I like your hair? Insensitive, I know. Everyone likes to get a complement.

Haha! That's a funny story.
DH is pretty oblivious. I can literally tell him a story and he'll nod and say things like "yeah". Then about five minutes later it's like he tunes back in and says "Wait, what did you just say?"
I agree with you on this, and I do not think it's insensitive. However, I cut off 5-6 inches and it was the shortest it has ever been since we've been together so I expected him to notice, but wasn't insulted because I have thin hair.
