In traffic, how long would it take to get from downtown (or further if you've ventured past) to you? I've only been out there once, in the middle of the day, and google maps does not include horrendous traffic of a friday afternoon.
Who schedules a party in the middle of nowhere (sorry, not meant to insult your place of home), on a Friday afternoon? Oh, yeah, H's office.
Re: krista, are you around?
close to 2 hours. not kidding. The very first time we did it, I almost had a stroke. My husband had a Friday off, so we spent the day downtown while our son was at preschool (and it was only his first week there). We had NO idea how bad traffic is on Friday afternoons and barely got to school to pick Jack up before they closed. You couldn't pay me sit on H-1 on a Friday afternoon. I even make sure I schedule flights to avoid driving to and from the airport on Friday afternoons.
So, that's what you wanted to hear, right? lol!
Wait, is there an open carry law here? I could use the 2 hours to pre-game while H drives
We're planning on arriving at the end of the cocktail hour, so that gives us more time. Besides, there have to be spouses who work and kids in school, so not everyone can leave at 330, right? I know the military are punctual people, but I don't want to socialize at an empty cocktail hour. Probably the only one there would be whoever planned to have it far away, and I shouldn't be faced with that person after a 2 hour traffic nightmare.
