Saturday!

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I've been MIA this week has been crazy, between all the paperwork and then DH working OT every night I've had zero energy left at the end of the day for posting. I did post on some of the stuff from yesterday.

Today if the rain stops we're taking Myles to a Xmas parade with a co-worker/friend of mine. I also plan on mailing out my SS gift if I get everything finished in time. Otherwise it's going out Monday.

Yesterday Myles learned to roll both ways ( I know he's a little behind what can I say I have a preemie) and he just thinks it's the funniest thing ever! He rolls over and then giggles.

Anyone have anything fun going on today?

Re: Saturday!

  • Morning MO! Yay for rolling over. How exciting.  Enjoy the parade if the rain gets better. I would love to get the boys outside today, but with Christian still not feeling hot, I don't want to drag them out in the cold.

Well my cold and Zach's seems to be better, but not Christian.  He is starting to have yellowish/greenish mucus from his nose so I think he is heading for an infection.  A trip to the pedi may be in our future.

I ran most of my errands yesterday, so today is pajama day for the boys and I. My excitement will be playing race cars, playing with elmo and big bird, maybe watch Toy Story, and hopefully we will all get a good nap in.

    Have a great day ladies.

  • My mom and my sister and her kids will be here any minute to pick me up. We're going to Christmas (the town. look it up.) to an craft fair thing. It should be fun. Might find something cool, everything there is handmade. It takes place at Fort Christmas, so there's a whole historic area to look at as well. Hope you all have a great Saturday!

  • Good morning, ladies.

It's cold, windy, and snowing - forecast high is just 24*.  I'm thinking a hike, then a roaring fire, and working on my Christmas cards and a few gifts I'm making.  My SS is almost ready - it will be in the mail Monday (stateside, so it should get there Wednesday).

I've probably missed this - are we going to do a big SS reveal thread?  Or just AW individually as they arrive?  Whatever is fine; I'm very excited for SS.

That's so cute, MO.  Nothing is cuter than baby giggles.  Only 9 more days - you're in single digits!!

    Have a great day, everyone!

  • Good morning!

We're heading to my ILs' house today to celebrate MIL's birthday. I'm thinking about bringing my laptop so that I have something to do while they play with *cough*hog*cough* D. Or maybe I'll take the opportunity to go shopping or something... but I don't know their town very well. Hmm.

  • Ed and I went on a date day to do some Christmas shopping.  We actually got a TON done, which makes me feel better about life.  Most importantly, I finished getting my SS gift (and my SS should be super excited, because I am excited about everything I got!).  Now it is all packaged up and just needs to be sent out on Monday!  Can't wait to get it sent and received!

We are going to get take out for dinner and catch up on the DVR...and I am thinking about having a couple drinks tonight as well...we shall see....

  • We took the boys to see Santa today. Um, I'm not sure what happened to their excitement, but when it came time to actually sit on Santa's lap they didn't seem too thrilled. I've never seen so many kids cry before! I swear every child that sat on his lap cried and had to get their parents to sit with them. Then we went and ordered Izaac a new bed. He's been taking his mattress off his toddler bed for a while now and he can move his bed around his room. Ya, not fun at bedtime. Tonight we are going to have perogies that I made all by myself last week. I'm anxious to see if they hold together when I boil them. Then later I think it will just be a relaxing (possibly romantic?) movie night with the hubs.
  • It's 10:00 at night and I'm just now getting on.  This morning, Jim and I did the Jingle Bell Run 5K for the Arthritis Foundation.  This is the first one I've 'run' since I moved up here four years and gained 45 pounds.  Needless to say, it was not a PR, but it's nice to have a new benchmark starting point.

This evening we were going to go to the boat parade in Alexandria, but the traffic and parking situation was so gnarly that we never made it.  We did get delicious hot cocoa from a place called Artfully Chocolate and then went to shoot pool.

  • Don't feel bad rebaan, it's 11 and I'm just getting to sit down today.

I went out with my BFF for the day and left DH home with the bub. Sounds like they had a good day, including 2 2-hour naps. However, I could've killed DH for ruining a whole bottle of breastmilk by adding pureed bananas to it. No no honey. You add the milk to the bananas. Not the other way around. Does the man not know how much work goes into that stuff?

I'm still fighting with this cold, so a long day of labor-intensive work tomorrow should be great...not so much. It's an open house at the college, so it means I'll be setting up and taking down about 500 chairs for the day. Thankfully, there's a lot of down time in there, too, and hopefully some free brunch.

    Happy weekend everybody!
