F/U BabyPicks sleeping!
So, last night went pretty well. That is, after she woke herself up with her hands (no swaddling = M hitting herself in the face), spit out her binky, and had a tantrum that lasted about 45 minutes. Finally I resorted to reswaddling (after 3 or 4 failed attempts) and rocking/binky, she was out by 11pm in her crib. DH went to bed, and I stayed up to see if she would wake up. Well, DH decided to text a booty call, so we DTD and went to sleep. M didn't wake up until 4am! Then I fed her and we went back to bed (her in her crib, me in our bedroom), and she didn't wake again until 8, but she was just fussy, so I brought her into bed with me and she slept another hour. SO nice. Sleep is such a magic thing when you haven't had much in a while!
Anyway - she's napping now in her crib, swaddled. It's still the only way I can get her to sleep for longer periods of time without her waking herself up. We'll see how this goes as she gets a little older...
