Course vent

I'm taking two grad classes right now, and they are both graded on a 100 pt total scale.  (ie A paper might be assigned 4 pts of the total score and a test 10 pts.)

One of the courses end in less than two weeks and we only have 12 pts worth of assignments graded for the class!!!  It is driving me freaking up the wall because I have *no* idea how I am doing in the course. The ungraded assignments have been turned in between 1.5 months and 2 weeks ago.  I understand things get busy, but really!?

Thanks for letting me vent. :)

Re: Course vent

  • this sounds exactly like the courses I am enrolled in this semester! I have to wait for-ev-er to see a grade for anything. Same as you, I know they're busy, but this is their job! (probably just part, but still a job)

As a teacher, I would get in trouble at work if I took this long to grade anything or post grades. So frustrating! Hope you get your grades soon!

  • I had a professor like this in college.  There was one kid in the class who hounded the professor about their grades.  I mean, constantly asking for assignments back.  No one else said anything because that kid was all over him.

Come to the end of the semester - I think everyone got an A.  Not sure about the kid who constantly hounded about the grades.  That kid might've gotten a B or something. ha.

  • I do not miss dealing with professors.

    Sorry.

    Anniversary
  • I hated professors like that, so I always get assignments graded within 48 hours.
  • DH & I are each taking 9 credits online for our MA+30. We finished our first class out of 800 points. The assignments are submitted at the end, so you have NO idea how you are doing until you get your grade back. I think it is crazy because it is a teacher school. Shouldn't they be setting examples for us? From the quizzes, I know I have a 58/800 points! lol
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Thanks for the commiseration, ladies.

I just got an email from the prof saying that she didn't know why one of my discussion grades hadn't posted.  That's worth 4 points, so now we're up to 16.  Woohoo.
