I just want to feel better...
I have been sick since Monday. Monday I work up with a fever, body aches, and sore throat. Went to urgent care and was treated with tamiflu. As the week progressed on now my head is really stuffy and now I am coughing. I was such a hot mess today.. I coughed so hard that I had a little urine come out and at the same time a bloody nose started. I was some sight in the bathroom.
I really want to get better soon!! Please send me some get better vibes.. I would really appreciate it..

Re: I just want to feel better...
Oh Cheryl, you have been through the ringer! When I have had the real flu, it will take a few weeks to feel completely better. Now that you have treated the virus you may have had a bacterial infection. Rest and take care of yourself! Hope you feel better soon.
Btw, does your hospital make you get the flu shot? Did you get it? were you swabbed for it?
My hospital requires the flu shot and if you end up with influenza your days off are without penalty. We have a super strict time and attendance policy. I always wonder how other hospitals work.
Oh Cheryl
Get better soon!!!!
(((Hugs)))
Yes we are highly encouraged to get the flu shot since we work with high risk patients.I got mine back in September.
They swabbed me for flu and strep at the clinic, and of course both came back negative. The nurse practitioner I saw was surprised the flu did not come back positive and treated me anyways for it. So who knows if I really had it or not. I think I am going to go back to the urgent care tomorrow for some antibiotics. I think I have a sinus infection.
I really want to get better because this coming up weekend is my 30th birthday and Frank is taking me away for the weekend.

Could be the flu, but DH and I have had the same thing for a month. We get better when we're on antibiotics, which means it's bacterial (the flu is viral), and then within 3 days of finishing the antibiotics we're sick again, so we get more antibiotics.
SEVERAL of my students have had this too.
Pretty scary that these bacteria are so antibiotic resistant.
Hope you feel better!

I actually just went back to the urgent care and I was diagnosed with adnovirus and conjunctivitis. I woke up with my eye entirely crusted over on top of this.. I guess I am going out of my 20's with a bang...
