My son has been potty trained for almost a year now, but still wears a Pull-Up overnight. Do I just continue with this until he starts to wake up dry? or do I leave him in underwear overnight and see what happens? I'm just afraid that if I do so, I'll be changing sheets every morning. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to get to the point of staying dry all night? TIA
Re: Staying dry overnight
My youngest nephew is 6 and still wears a pull up at night, mainly because he has a uriter problem, and it's basically a precaution. What if you tried the ones that give a cooling sensation when they wet just a little? Would that help?
Sorry, lol, not much help.
Cohen is 4 and still wears a pull-up to bed. It's not a big deal to me.
I read recently that kids at this age have varying levels of "bladder maturity" (it involves hormones that reduce production at night, receptors in the bladder, and a bunch of other physiological things). It doesn't mean they're naughty or lazy, they just aren't done growing. Totally normal.
Thanks everyone - feeling much better after hearing from all of you!
I asked because my friend made me feel bad when she said "oh, your son still wears a pull up at night?" (her daughter is 3 months younger and just decided one day that she wanted to wear underwear and was dry)
