Trying to get fit...again
So, I started Weight Watchers again last Monday (lost 2 lbs already!). Then in our travels today, we bought a treadmill.
I gained after Taylor was born, instead of lost, so I'm back to where I started about a year before we conceived.
Who's on board with me? Or at least keeping me on track??
Re: Trying to get fit...again
Me, me, me!
I joined a gym 3 weeks ago, and that week went every morning (except Sat & Sunday) at 5:30am. But last week I was in qual exams, so I ate horribly and didn't exercise... but I plan to be back at it tomorrow.
I feel like I just want to fit in my clothes again, but I guess my goal is like a 10-15lb loss. What's yours?
Ok! I'm glad! My overall goal, is 110lbs, but I'll be happy with 50-60 before next fall. That would be where I was when we got pregnant with Taylor. So I know that will work for me to TTC/be pregnant with another.
I'm going to get on board. I'm giving myself at least the next week as a slide since I'm just getting back to work and DD starts daycare and I'm just using chocolate/ sweets to cope. I started bringing my lunch to work though which somewhat helps instead of randomly buying things in the cafeteria.
My goal will be at least 40 lbs... but overall, I'd like to lose 50-60. I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight though...this is weight I wanted to lose before ttc. I don't know how I'm going to work out yet... I belong to a gym but I don't think I'll be able to get there except for weekends.
Ugh. I need to get back into eating better, but I've been saying that for months now with only minimal effects. I actually just put my YMCA membership on hold for 6 months because I was tired of paying for it and never going.
I had my annual check-up two weeks ago and I was down 8 lbs. from a year ago...which put me at approximately 2 lbs. less than I weighed when I was 9 months pregnant with Helen.
If I were ever to hit my goal weight, I'd need to lose 50 lbs. Right now I'd settle for losing 15 lbs. to put me back at the weight I was at before I got pregnant with Helen.
Every time I try a formal program like WW, I do well for a few days and then have a breakdown over something that's too difficult to figure out the points for so I just stop counting. The little bit of weight I did lose over the past few months I did just by paying attention to not stuffing my face all the time.
This is exercise is what I need to make a habit of! I need to lose 15 to get at where I was when I got pregnant, but I'd love to lose 20 or so. Easier said than done.
Shall we start Fit Chicks posts again?
Ugh, this is a horrible time of year to be focusing on losing weight. I thought I'd be okay with carying around a little extra baby weight under thick sweaters and winter clothes for a little bit, and that sounded good when I was 9 months pregnant and huge, but the novelty of that idea has already worn off.
Cold weather has been keeping us in a lot, and I'm still not cleared to work out... so walking on the treadmill in my basement and eating well is my only option right now, and that just sounds boring. I'd like to lose the last 10 baby lbs. before I go back to work in January (10-15lbs. more would be fabulous).
I'm with you. Maybe not for the next three weeks, but in January I'm all over it.
I say that now, and I'll probably last for about a week. Just so you all know.
