So I recently moved into an apt right before thanksgiving. The carpet is brand new but as soon as you walk in the house it has a smell. I thought maybe it just needeed to be aired out and I did that and it didn't help. To me it smells like smoke and I think whoever lived here smoked so much its in the walls. To test this I took the lavender pine sol and water and wiped the walls and that worked for a while for I can smell it again. What do you guys think I can do to help with that smell? TIA

Re: Ugh help! (smoke issue)
Have you tried changing the air filters? That can really make a difference.

thanks everyone! I changed the filter and left a bowl of vinegar out. Then I have a febreeze plug in the outlet and I can already tell the difference. I also invited my friends over and they said it didn't smell like smoke like I thought but all I can say is the smell is out and I am happy
