So the night with George did not turn out exactly as expected. Here's a quick recap:
6pm: We get all gussied up. I briefly consider not wearing my wedding ring in case George is interested. E puts an end to that thought immediately.

6:45pm: We leave the apartment. We have not yet bought a car so we have to rely on the LA city bus system, but I've done my research and know that it's only 4 miles away and the bus comes every 10 minutes. No problem. Reception starts at 7, screening at 8. We'll be fashionably late.
6:50pm: Bus arrives. We get on and find out it's a shortened route and we need to wait for the longer route. We get off the bus.
7pm: No bus
7:10pm - 7:40pm: 7 more busses go by. All are the short route. L and E are no longer on speaking terms.
7:50pm: The correct bus finally arrives. L and E ride in awkward silence.
8:03pm: We finally arrive and the screening has just started. We sneak in and get seats in the front row, with no ability to scan the room for George.
9:40pm: Movie is over, it was awesome. We briefly see George being whisked out the back door. He looks glorious.
Soooo that's it. We had high expectations of being able to interact with him but it didn't work out. My cousin gets tickets to this kind of stuff often though since he works in the industry, so hopefully we'll get another opportunity to do something like this soon!

I love your outfit!
Boo on not being able to get to chat with George. However, you will have other opportunities.
I will tell you though, that from what Anna Kendrick's mom said (I work with her mom, Anna was in Up in the Air w/George), when she was at the Oscar's with Anna, George was sitting right in front of her, and really didn't say anything to her. She was introduced by Anna, but George did the typical greeting and that was it. (According to Jan - he appeared to have had to much to drink anyhow) Hopefully it was just a stressful night for George, and he truly isn't like that in real life.
