Holy good episode.
I loved Jiminy's story. Loved it.
I cried when the mine elevator fell and he was hanging on by his umbrella.
I cried when Jiminy became the cricket and the Blue Fairy told him the boys name was Gepetto. It also explains why Gepetto works with puppets, given his parents were turned into them.
And the Mayor. When she dropped that glass did it land on the rock where she cast the curse?

The storyline with Gepetto's parents made me so sad. That was kind of awful.
Corny as it is, I LOVE watching the connection between Snow White and the prince outside of the fairytale. It's sweet.
Ditto this, too. I forgot about Snow White/The Prince in this episode... only because I was weeping about Jiminy.
Love this show.

I thought it was Snow's casket. Remember it was glass with like vines all over it? Did Henry get a piece of it out of the mine shaft? I saw him pick it up right before the first collapse, but I don't know if he dropped it or put it in his backpack.
I like the point you made about Gepetto's reason for working with puppets, hadn't even thought of that.
Excited for next week! I love Snow and Charming's side of the story.
DH & I were watching, well he was half-watching. And I burst out crying when Jiminy became the cricket, and found out Gepetto's name. He thought I was crazy! Once I explained why it made me cry, he seemed to understand a little better.

this episode was SO great!!
it took me awhile to figure out why jiminy's dad sketched me out...until i looked him up on imdb. yeahhhh...he was totally mayor wilkins on buffy. awesome.
also, gepetto's mom used to be on that show "ready or not" back in the 90's.

While I really love this show, I thought this episode was fairly boring. And, is it just me, or does it go to commercial 10 times more than other shows?
I'm pretty sure the glass that the mayor picked up and then tossed back was a piece of Snow White's casket.
I'm pretty sure the glass was part of Snow White's casket and when Regina dropped it, it landed on what looks like Snow White's casket (which is broken and disheveled) in the fairytale land.

Did I miss something? What's with snow whites casket? Did they do a flash forward to when she dies? I missed the first couple minutes (stupid DH and his home improvement shows) so maybe it was talked about then.

No the casket is from the Pilot episode. The Evil Queen put a curse on Snow White that caused her to fall into a deep sleep. The dwarves made a glass casket for her and waited for the Prince to come and break the curse. Once the prince kissed her she woke up and they got married.

I also love the chemistry between Snow & prince charming!
I did! I forgot to mention that here. I was too busy crying over Jiminy's story.
Sometimes I feel like I need a notebook to keep up with all the little details.

I finally was able to watch the episode tonight. I love this show- well written and intriguing. There is so much going on between the present and the fairytale time. I love how they introduce and weave the characters in and out the story.
Thanks for all of your insight! I didn't catch the dalmation being Pongo.
I didn't notice the dalmations name was Pongo, I'll have to go back and watch now that everyone is pointing out all of these other little details!!!
