ANTM - All Stars in Greece
I used to be a huge ANTM fan. It was must-see-tv for me for the first... eight or nine seasons. Then the girls got increasingly dramatic and untalented and squealy and Tyra got increasingly self-involved and I just lost interest.
Yesterday I was bored and flipping channels and came across what is the current season and saw the filming of a video montage of Tyra's novel? All I want to say was WTF was that???? The girl eating whipped cream? And Tyra needing to put herself in it so she could suck that model's finger??? That was just embarrassing.
Obviously I haven't missed anything the last 7-8 seasons.

Right?! Tyra is so crazy. I don't know why I still watch this show. But I do.
True story: I was watching TV, DH came in the room and asked, "What stupid thing is Tyra Banks making them do now?" Only I wasn't watching ANTM, I was watching Ru Paul's Drag Race.

I could've written this myself, except I will add "and the winners were becoming more and more sucky and obviously chosen because Tyra wanted them to, not because they were good".

Isn't "All Stars" a bit of a stretch? I only looked at a list of the contestants (many I didn't even know, since they had been on after I stopped watching) but from what I remember thinking they are far from "all stars".
Another thing to add. If you're in this thread you probably are (or were) an ANTM fan so this might be of interest to you.

I liked Nicole. See that was back when I thought many of the contestents actually had some chance of really doing modeling work.
Gah, I still just feel so violated for having to watch that. The seizure inducing editing? Did Tyra attempt that herself too? It was just so bad. And what's astounding that Tyra thought it was so great, that it couldn't even all be done in one episode. She has to drag it out and make viewers watch more next week?
And New York Times best sellers list? For real? Has anyone read it? Has anyone read it and recommended other people read it???
What a silly episode among many other silly episodes this season. (viral video I'm looking at you...)
This tyra self promotion is pretty typical, but this season has escalated it to a new ridiculous level.
That book looks ridiculously stupid. But I actually did see a few decent reviews for it online.
I'll probably keep watching, but mostly just for the pictures. I liked that they changed the prizes last season so the winner is in Vogue and not in Seventeen.

I haven't watched the last episode yet, but when I saw who was in the final three (and, more importantly, who wasn't) I lost hope in the show.
It used to be so much fun. Now it's just ridiculous.
