Christmas in London

So... last year I had a 2-3 week old baby at Christmas time. Needless to say, we didn't get out much. I hear that there is a lot to do, so tell me what I should do! I think we'll do one or two date nights in the city (our anniversary is the week before Christmas) and we might go into the city all of us for a day or two. What should we see? Any good places to go on a date? Any Christmas concerts? I stay in my little SW London bubble, so help me out, please!

Re: Christmas in London

  • If I was in London this December I would go to Hyde Park Christmas fair!!!! Was in London 2 years ago and never got the chance to go there... :-((( My DH owes me that one... it was his fault we didn't get there (and I know it was deliberate!!)

  • We went to Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park last night, and that is always fun...overpriced carnival rides and food/drinks, but a good time.

Last year we did the Christmas sing-along concert at the Royal Albert.

Ice skating at the Tower of London is very pretty.

    I'm in SW London too!

  • Ice skating at Hampton Court and take in a Christmas Panto! You can look on Time Out for some pantos. Plus, all of the above.

  • When I was little we always used to go to Selfridges to see Father Christmas in his grotto. It's one of my fondest childhood memories, I don't know if they still do it or not but it's fun for the little ones.
