    • Highs? We actually surprised MIL with a bday party.  It was great!  Also, swinging into a friends house and just saying hi.
    • Lows? DH/I bickering Friday night
    • Do any fun holiday/wintry activities? We stopped at a tree farm and then had a tree delivered last night
    • Eat/make anything good? We had lots of yummy food at the bday party
    • Watch anything good? football?
    • Read anything good? no
    • Any FFCs, vents, AWs, comments? work is killing me...lots of changes happening and i'm just overwhelmed, exhausted, partially checked out...thankfully last Friday I was recharged a tad with having a wonderful lady come train me some and encourage me.  FFC: I can't handle the woe is me pregnant people.  Maybe it's because I had an overall great pregnancy but mostly it's what someone wanted (to be pregnant) so why complain the entire time?  ETA: i know it's not always a walk in the park, but some do nothing but complain from the second they find out until the second they deliver
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Lots of birthdays ;)

    • Highs? Had my first overnight with my niece... she is such a joy and hysterical... I love the honesty of a 2.5 year old! I also had a lot of good time with friends.
    • Lows? I wasn't as productive as I had hoped re: homework and painting the house.
    • Do any fun holiday/wintry activities? I decorated a little and bought new stockings for DH and I.
    • Eat/make anything good? Went to The Hill in Fed Hill last night to watch some of the Ravens game and I had the most delicious sliders with crab meat on top... they didn't even need ketchup or mustard.
    • Watch anything good? re-runs of Sister Wives... fascinating
    • Read anything good? nope :-(
    • Any FFCs, vents, AWs, comments? I slept in until 10am on Sunday... it was glorious, but I felt bad because DH had to get up at 7am to work.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? The weekend, ha.

    • Highs? Made some yummy cupcakes. DS was in a good mood pretty much all weekend. Got to relax with DH and watch lots of HIMYM on Netflix. *Finally* ordered a bunch of stuff from Shutterfly!!
    • Lows? The woman for whom I made the cupcakes kept changing the time she was going to pick them up and ended up picking them up a day late. And I didn't have the energy to do any Christmas decorating which I really wanted to do.
    • Do any fun holiday/wintry activities? See above about not getting around to Christmas decorating.
    • Eat/make anything good? Chocolate cupcakes with almond icing. But I didn't get to eat any - I'm just assuming they were good! The few licks of icing I had were!
    • Watch anything good? HIMYM. Love it, but we're still on season 1.
    • Read anything good? No.
    • Any FFCs, vents, AWs, comments?
    • For the first time since DS was born, I feel like I really NEED a break. I need to get out of the house and away from DH and DS for an evening. This is the plan for tomorrow. I will be Christmas shopping, but still.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Going shopping tomorrow after work.

  • Highs? Pampered Chef Holiday Event yesterday was a huge success.  We had a great turnout and it was fun to do a joint event with other consultants for once. Lows? Being sick (again) and being wiped out Do any fun holiday/wintry activities? See high.  Also, I came home yesterday and DH put our tree up and tonight we're decorating it. Eat/make anything good? White Chocolate Cranberry Almond Fudge.  Holy cow...so freaking easy and so yummy!  Also ate these amazing Chocolate Mint Truffles.  I now know what I'm giving the people in my office because they are so easy to make too! Watch anything good? The past 3 weeks of Parenthood has been on my DVR along with 2 Dexter's and NBC's Thursday night lineup (sans Whitney).  So I caught up on everything Friday afternoon/night and it was great! Read anything good? Nope. Any FFCs, vents, AWs, comments? FWIW...DH has been doing really well on his meds and I'm feeling such a sense of relief.  Things have been good and it's nice to start feeling destressed. • Highs? Our kitchen is 98% done.  Still need to get a few little pieces, but OMG it looks awesome, we also now have a TV in the kitchen, I feel like I'm on MTV Cribs!  I also put together some furniture for the playroom that's been sitting around for a month. Lows?  I felt kinda sick again yesterday, also realizing we will probably need to buy a new dining room table.  Do any fun holiday/wintry activities? No - hopefully we can work on the tree/decorating next Sunday after DD's party Eat/make anything good? Irony - we were too tired to cook!  Watch anything good? no Read anything good? I've been reading "Started Early, Took My Dog" really like it. Any FFCs, vents, AWs, comments? Apparently getting the kitchen done gave DD a total morale boost and he's been very affectionate the last few days.  Very funny and sweet and so totally him.

  • Highs? Saturday was a pretty awesome day overall. I went out with one of my BFFs for most of the day, then spent the evening with family at my sister's 31 party.

Lows? I started coming down with something Friday night and it's gotten progressively worse over the course of the weekend. I felt like death first thing Saturday morning and in between the girls' day and the party that evening.

Do any fun holiday/wintry activities? Christmas shopping and a tiny bit of decorating. I wanted to get a LOT more done, but this cold or whatever it is has kicked my arse.

Eat/make anything good? My tastebuds are pretty much useless. Cheese and crackers are my sister's is the best thing I can recall eating this weekend.

Watch anything good? Dexter, Leverage, and Boardwalk Empire last night

    Read anything good? Nope

Any FFCs, vents, AWs, comments? I'm whiny about being sick. I was sick this time last month, too, and I'm so annoyed it's circled back around again. And, TMI, I have my period on top of it, so I'm double-whiny.

In AW territory, my husband's amazing and so very tolerant. I left DD with him from 9am until almost 4pm on Saturday, then on Sunday he got up with her so that I could sleep in. He went to the grocery store for my cookie ingredients, brought me flowers, and then made my cookies for a swap so that I wouldn't infect my cookie recipients. He's amazin.

What are you looking forward to this week? Feeling better and getting the Christmas decorating done. I feel so badly for DD - she's so eager to decorate and I just haven't had it in me.

    • Highs? Going out with friends, finishing decorating for Christmas and putting up our tree. I love it!
    • Lows? None.
    • Do any fun holiday/wintry activities? See above. Our house is totally Christmas-a-fied and I love it. I want to keep everything up year-round.
    • Eat/make anything good? We went to Sticky Rice in Fells on Saturday and it was really good. Their sweet potato tots were delish! Portions were smaller than we're used to at our go-to sushi place in Timonium, but it was overall really good.
    • Watch anything good? The Giants/Packers game was awesome!
    • Read anything good? No reading this weekend.
    • Any FFCs, vents, AWs, comments? I've got nothin'.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Seeing family and friends (come the weekend). Finishing my last class for the semester!
