Doesn't look like anyone has started today's thread yet!
We had a busy but good weekend. Saturday, our trip to my ILs' place was rather uneventful (though if my MIL calls D "my son!" one more time, I'm going to explode).
Yesterday we had a church date with D's godmother and went for brunch after. I hadn't been to this place before, and their house cured bacon was amazing. Then we visited D's new daycare to put down a deposit. I'm really happy that we've secured a spot for him (starting next August). I was getting nervous; waitlists in my city are absolutely ridiculous.
Right now I'm waiting for a delivery... once that arrives, I may go out to pick up some work sweaters for V.

Re: Good morning?
Ringy, I think whenever you hand D over to your MIL you need to say loudly. Here GO TO GRANDMA! That would drive me insane, and I'm not even a parent.
I had a good weekend, baked, ate and saw the new Muppet movie.
I couldn't agree more. I recently have started correcting people if they call the boys something I don't like. "My Son" would drive me bonkers, and me being me, I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut.
Sigh. I do. V tells me it's just their way, which is kind of true because I hear her calling nephews that too. But still, it's extra loaded in this case, ya know? I even worked up the nerve to say "I think the word is grandson" but MIL didn't hear it, and FIL was like, "Oh, you know...son is short for grandson."
NO, IT'S NOT. Good grief.
If I get the nerve to say that again I'll have to be louder, but V think it's not a battle worth fighting (I have to trust him because he always stands up to them when necessary), and my MIL is the type to hold grudges.
