XP: I'm disgusted by the human race...
Yesterday morning I heard on the news that a 25-year old from West Bloomfield was involved in a hit-and-run. They didn't release the victims name and I was hoping I didn't know him.
Last night my mom texted me that it was the brother of someone I grew up with. Her and I don't talk anymore, but her family was always nice. Her brother was my brother's age and so that kinda freaked me out.
He was walking in the bicycle lane in Northville with some friends and a dark SUV hit him and drove off. The injuries he sustained were fatal.
Now, I'm not looking for "I'm so sorry, Milsey!" because I wasn't close with him at all. I am just posting to vent how disgusted I am that someone can just do that. Just drive off. It's very disheartening.

I often get overwhelmed and upset by how dumb/mean/cruel/terrible people can be. It is truly amazing.
However, no matter how much bad there is, there is always good, too. Just remember that.
I agree w/both statements.
I read that this morning too, my guess is the driver was drunk & has no clue what they did. Hopefully someone will see that person's car & wonder what happened to it.
I'm hoping that too. My brother had to park on the street downtown back in the spring and his car was swiped. Ironically (or stupidly) the car that swiped him was parked around the corned with paint transfer. Some girl that said she wasn't driving her car and left her keys at party or something dumb. Ugh.
I wouldn't be surprised by this at all. My brother's house was run into by a drunk driver. Fortunately neighbors chased down the guy and when the police talked to my brother about it, they told him the guy thought he hit a flower pot. And he was dead serious about it too. Had no idea he drove over a ditch, across a lawn, hit a small tree, kinda drove up over a small brick wall and crashed into a house.

I totally agree. How sad for the victim and his family.
