Daycare Recommendations SW Omaha

I'm in need of some daycare recommendations in SW Omaha.  I'm specifically looking for something between 180th and 144th and Q Street to Giles.  In-home or an actual facility is fine.  I really appreciate your suggestions!  Thanks in advance!

Re: Daycare Recommendations SW Omaha

  • Our girls go to Millard Children's Academy and I LOVE it. I am beyond impressed with the facility, the staff, and everything they do. And I looked around quite a bit and I feel like it is very comparable with other daycares in terms of cost.

  • Don't have recommendations but I KNOW you A!!! :) Without using full names, I am Julie, went to highschool with you, friends with you on fb and used to be your neighbor at greenfields!! :)  SOOO excited you have a little peanut on the way!!
  • I know it's not a personal or specific recomendation, but this is the list of licensed daycares in Nebraska.  I entered my zip code in the find box at the top center above the page content and started calling everyone asking if they had infant openings for when we'd need to start.  http://www.hhs.state.ne.us/crl/ChildCareRoster.pdf

We met with 3 - one we weren't crazy about, 1 that would have been ok, and the one we ended up going with we absolutely LOVE (but she's not accepting any more infant openings as she's actually having a baby herself in April).

I'd just start calling and if you find one with an opening, meet up with them and see what you think and trust that mommy instinct you already have now!

  • DD goes to a center off 168th and Q.  They have a referral program if you are interested in using my name (not sure exactly what it is).  I like their structure for the older kids, DD is 4, so I am not sure on their infant care, but I really like the director there.  It's called Millard Childcare & Preschool.

Oh my gosh, I know who this is! Such a small world! I normally post on The Bump but figured this group is more active than the other Nebraska Bumpies board. Three more months and I'll be in the mommy club!
