Catholic Churches in Northville area?

Can anyone recommend a catholic church in the Northville area?  We're sorta near Haggerty and 6 mile and would like something close by but something traditional (no dancing and waving ribbons and such- we 'joined' a church in Canton that apparently did this- when we heard this from a priest at the church, and his negative views on the program, we ended up not actually attending-sadly).

We're really interested in getting back into church and taking the boys weekly. So, any suggestions would be awesome!

Re: Catholic Churches in Northville area?

  • My grandma attends St. Kenneth on 5 mile and Haggerty
  • Our Lady of Victory (on Orchard in downtown Northville).  I'm not Catholic myself, but I have several friends who are members and really love it there. They have a school there too; I have coached several kids who have been students that also have a lot of good things to say, and that's definitely saying something for good reviews of a church to be coming from kids!

  • Sorry you had a negative experience at your last place.

I'll try to think of some in the area, I attend a Covenant church in Farmington Hills, so that won't help Smile

Ok, I just thought of one, I can't remember the name, but is on Haggerty Road just south of 5 Mile road, on the west side of the road.  When I lived in Plymouth I took Haggerty all the time & always passed it.

Our 88 yr old neighbors attend a Catholic church in Novi, 10 Mile Rd. west of Taft.  We went once for their renewing of their wedding vows & it seemed mostly traditional from what I remember.  Don't know if that is too far for you though.

  • My entire family goes to St. Kenneths in Plymouth off of Haggerty. I've been there a few times for baptisms/a few services. My husband and I both think Fr. Tom is great.
  • thanks ladies!  Guess we'll try out St Kenneth first since it's so close :)
