QOTD Monday (weather)

What's it like outside where you are? Is it anything close to seasonal?

Re: QOTD Monday (weather)

  • It's in the mid 30s and overcast.  I heard this morning that it might get up to 40ish and may either rain or snow.  It's a bit warmer than usual for December, but overall fairly typical.

  • Raining and high 30s/low 40s I think. I think it's a little mild for December but not totally outrageous.

We had our first snow last Wednesday but it didn't stick and we haven't had any since.

  • It was in the low 40s when I left home this morning. I think the high today will be in the 60s (and I think about 10, 12 degrees too warm for the average high). It feels way too warm for my taste. Kind of chips away at my holiday spirit!

  • Today's high will be 9* F.  A little cold for the daytime high - later in the week will be sunny and 40*.  We got some snow over the weekend, but not a big accumulation.  I think the annual average is 42" of snowfall, but most of that comes in March and April.

This. We're supposed to get a mix of rain or snow, I guess depending on how much the temperature falls.

  • Right now it's in the high 40's it's supposed to be in the 60's later on. I want it to be colder but it's about average for here. It get's cold and icy here January-March.

  • Right now it's in the 40's, with a high of 56 today.  That is unusually high for this time of year. The average is usually in the 40's.  The weather has been all over the place here lately.  I am not complaining though.  I so don't want the cold weather that we usually get.

Personally, I'm glad it's not as cold as it's supposed to be.  This reminds me more of winter in Georgia and I like it.

I'm from Michigan. I don't think I'll ever get used to D.C. weather, especially the crazy humidity. My husband calls D.C. the Dagobah system. Smile

  • Right now it's 76 and cloudy. It's been in the high 60's-70's for the last week or so, with night time temperatures going down into the 50's. One night it went into the 40's! I love the cold weather. Hopefully it will be cold on Christmas. It just doesn't feel like the holidays when you're wearing a tank top and flip flops. I'm a terrible Floridian lol.

  • Ditto what ringy said.  It's rainy and a touch high for seasonable.  We were a few hours north of the city this weekend and they had a couple of inches of staying snow, but then it was raining when we left on Sunday and most was melting.

You can have all the Georgia weather you want...:p. I want it to stay one particular temp for more than a day. Winter coat today, flip flops tomorrow. I never know what to wear.

I would take that any day to the need to bundle every day from November through March.  Oh, and don't forget the random snow we've gotten in June.  The weather here is just so bizarre.
