1) I hear Judy Garland sing "Merry Little Christmas", and Nat King Cole sing "The Christmas Song"
2) I have all my beautiful ornaments that I've collected over the years hung on my Christmas tree, and the stockings are up
3) I watch "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Little Women" (the Elizabeth Taylor version, tho it's different from the book!)
4) I've made Christmas cookies, and several different kinds of soup: potato, asparagus and leek, lentil and coconut, butternut squash...mmmmm
5) I've bought a gift for a needy child, donated it to Toys for Tots, or similar
6) (Ok, I cheated) I mailed my Christmas cards, AND I've started to receive them
1. We've decorated the tree at my parents.
2. I leave work for the last time before Christmas and don't have to deal with the cranky shoppers till after.

2. My house smells like cinnamon
3. The stockings are hung
4. I've drank some Hot Chocolate or Hot buttered rum
5. My animals are left without their spot in he window because the tree is ther!

4. We've hid the German pickle on the tree.
5. Zeke gets us up at 7am on Christmas morning to open his gifts. Somehow, he knows.

2. I've written my letter to Santa
3. The dog has written her letter to Santa
4. There are neatly wrapped packages waiting to be delivered to family
5. My heart is filled with Christmasy Excitement
1. There is a beautifully lit Christmas tree in my living room with a kitty sitting underneath.
2. Christmas music is being played throughout the house.
3. I'm making Christmas cookies.
4. Schools out for winter break
5. Me and my mom have made popcorn/ cranberry garland while watcing frosty the snowman.
1. Winter break begins from school
2. I make cut out cookies with my family
3. I get a month off of school
4. No grading papers for a month
5. No getting up early for a month.
6. Did I mention that winter break starts?
1. The Christmas tree is up and it and the house are decorated!
2. There is snow on the ground...I am happy if this doesn't happen until December 1st (but it still has yet to happen this year, which makes me a little sad)
3. The spare room upstairs is full of 'secrets' and no one is allowed to enter!
4. The holiday cards are written and mailed.
5. This is going to sound bad, but our liquor cabinet, wine rack and beer fridge are stocked and ready to start hosting friends and family
