What are you getting your MIL for Christmas?
Particularly if you don't know her super well and the gift is pretty generic. lol
Re: What are you getting your MIL for Christmas?
If I had to come up with a gift I would really struggle and probably rely on DH. It would still be somewhat generic since they're not close though. I think last time we gave them gifts he picked out a photo book of a country she likes or something like that. Other options I've considered are pre-made gift baskets (coffee, lotion, etc).
ETA: upon re-reading this sounds very "sucks for you but yay for me." Sorry. I definitely feel your pain.
Hahaha! It's cool.
I just went to find something and send it to be done. H is a terrible gift buyer so I hate to rely on him, but I might have to.
This year DH and his brothers decided to buy their parents a bluray player with surround sound. It's a whole big package, I don't really know much about it. But, I"m pretty sure that covers both FIL and MIL so for once we're not trying to pick out other gifts. Although we will probably buy them a Gator ornament or 2, because we noticed they have FSU on their tree but not UF. Travesty!
I know your parents are in the Orlando area, are your inlaws there too? For a little while we were considering getting our parents tickets to see ICE at the gaylord palms and a night at the hotel.

No, they're in Texas.
...Explain? Because I'm picturing a shed full of pot plants.
Me too!!! hahahaha
DH and I shop for our respective parentals.
Over Thanksgiving, MIL was asking all kinds of info about a nook or kindle, so we're looking into that. We're never consistent w/DH's family. Last year her tart burner had broken so we got her a new/nicer version. Obviously last year was a smaller gift than this year. It just depends on what her interests are or if we hear her mention anything.
Haha! I knew someone would say that. She wanted a greenhouse to keep her outside plants in during the colder months but decided to use the storage shed she has already. She doesn't want to run power to it so a solar powered lamp is the solution. To my knowledge there will be no pot.
HA HA! I thought the same thing!
Heh heh, my thoughts exactly!
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

My MIL is pretty easy.
- GCs to her fave mani/pedi spot or local spa
- books
- clothes from Chicco's
- the more designer brand wrinkle face creams/lotions

I bought my mom 3 books and an Auburn hoodie and today she tells me she wants a crockpot. I was annoyed.
My mom isn't girly or maternal so it makes it hard. She also doesn't care for tchotchkes which cuts out a lot of stuff.
I'm going to get her a gift card and some stuff that she can use when she's painting on location (my mom is a landscape painter so she spends a lot of time in fields and stuff) like a new wide brimmed hat and hand warmers for the winter.
I don't know if she'll like any of it but it's all I got.
Nothing, HA!
haha!
