Tell me what your favorite music is

to work out to. I listen mostly to classic rock/easy listening and need ideas to get me pumped.

  • RIght now I'm in a dance music phase. I'm loving some stuff that's on C89.5. That would definitley get you pumped! They also do an 80s remix hour (or maybe two?) on Thursday mornings! I love it for the drive into work.
  • easy listening?!  I'm not sure how that would get me pumped for working out ;)

stuff in that folder for me include: Usher, Taio Cruz, LMFAO, Rihanna, Michael Jackson, Katy Perry, Chris Brown, Pitbull, Eminem, Kelly Clarkson, Queen... that's all I can think of right now

I should've been more clear! I listen to classic rock/easy listening for everyday life and I needed something different to get me pumped during my workout. Right now my trainer brings in her own stuff and the boxing coach on Saturdays brings in his, but I don't like most of it, lol. I end up getting distracted, thinking, "This is terrible music... Is this even music!?" I like every one you mentioned though!

  • Girl Talk is awesome to work out to. It samples so many different kinds of music and the songs change pretty fast, so you don't get bored.

His albums are free for download too

There's an older one called "feed the animals" or something like that and that's really good too.

Or to get really old school I like Prodigy "Fat of the Land"

  • i always listen to hiphop. it usually has an up tempo beat and keeps me going.:)
BabyFruit Ticker BabyFetus Ticker we're having twins!
  • Guilty pleasure while working out - Ashlee Simpson's first album.

    Others include Nickleback and Creed.

And just this morning I realized my phone is missing about 1/2 my iTunes library, so I need to fix that.

  • H says my music selection is terrible, so take this FWIW, but my fave songs on my iPod when working out right now are:

-All of the Lights, Kanye West

    -Carry Out, Justin Timberlake

-DJ got us Falling in Love Again, Usher / Pitbull

    -Gold Digger, Kanye West

    -Let it Rock, Kevin Rudolph

    -Power, Kanye West

    -Low, Flo Rida

-On the Floor, JLo and Pitbull

    -Party Rock Anthem, LMFAO

    -S&M, Rhianna

    -Till the World Ends, Britney

-Tonight (I'm Loving You), Enrique / Pitbull

    -The Way I Are, Timbaland

-Livin' On a Prayer, Bon Jovi (sorry - all time favorite song of mine)

They're all upbeat / get you moving songs, and I just purchase the clean (aka non-explicit) versions on iTunes.  But, if you don't like this style of music you will probably hate the above list.  :)

I actually like some of that. Most I haven't heard, though. I'll check 'em out!
