Butcher rec?

Preferably around Kensington/Wheaton/Silver Spring?  I need to get a large prime rib.

Normally I get it from Wegman's, but i'm not sure i'll have time to make a pilgrimage. lol

Re: Butcher rec?

  • i know that last year the prices at whole foods were similar (maybe even $1/lb cheaper) than at il canale meats in eastern market. if they don't have one big enough ready, they could probably cut the amount you need.

  • There's a place in Laurel (still pretty far...)

And, there's Wagshal's (pricy, and still pretty far....)

Have heard great things about Costco prime rib.  But, costco's a pain.

I was going to say pretty much all of that. But we did a Costco prime rib last year and it was fantastic. And the butcher was happy to help me navigate the labels.
