CB Traffic Violation: Camera - Anyone else get one
SOOOO, DH I guess ran a red light in CB 2 weeks ago. He doesn't recal doing it but they have video of it. It is strange though because the ticket states
"recorded images do not constitute evidence of a violation." But then the next line says "based upon my review and inspection of the recorded images, I state that a violation did occur".
Anyone ever challenge one of these?
He is taking it a little hard because he doesn't speed or do any traffic violation so for this to happen is bothering him a ton.

Call them and say "I'd like to be able to view the 'evidance' against me before I make a decision on whether or not to pay your ticket"...I wonder what they'd say?
I got one for running a red light in CB. Those bastardss sent me a picture of myself doing it! Ryan reamed me, I was ashamed.
What is it, 60 bucks? I dont think it's worth the hassle/time/money to fight it.

Funny thing it is under my name but my maiden name even though the title is under my married name along with my husband.
There is video too. Right now he can only think that maybe he pushed his breaks but knew he wasn't going to be able to stop so went right thru.
We will probably not call and just pay it but man this killed him last night.
Is it registered under your maiden name?? If not, that is strange.
Okay so I'm confused - did they send you the link for the video or not? If not, I'd call and ask for it. It seems strange that they wouldnt send any sort of proof for you to see. $100 is more than I was expecting!

Yes they sent the link and the photos attached it is just odd the have to statement when they clearly have video of him doing it. Just curious that they put such a statement.
DH got one when we were on our way to Tiff's to pick up a cake a few years ago! Expensive cake I guess. I remember opening the envelope thinking, "what, they want a donation?" and sure schit, it was a pic of his truck (or sequence rather), along with the video link, of him running the light. I totally remember him doing it too. It wasn't on purpose of course. We weren't sure of the turn and he kind of hesitated in the intersection, then went and didn't even know he ran the light. I said something to him and he was like, "oh, i did? whoops!"
