F/U with my Family Doc

I managed to get in to see my family doctor at 11 this morning and she's fairly certain I've got acute bronchitis caused by a virus.

I'm to keep up with the puffers I have, taking the rescue one a bit more often to help get the wheezing under control and then go back to see her in a week to make sure things are clearing up.

I'm feeling better today and the gunk is starting to clear out.  Hopefully this doesn't last for weeks!

Also, after the pregnancy she'll probably send me for asthma testing, just to rule that out too.  What fun.

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

  • Oh yuck, that's sucky. My mum used to get bronchitis every winter. It's (as you obviously know) brutal.
  • Unfortunately you can develop asthma anytime in your life.

  • bronchitis would be no fun. I was told after having pneumonia that I would most likely not get normal colds anymore after that. So far, it's rang true. I'm usually down for the count when the cold going around is a runny nose or something minor. Hopefully you can get rid of things soon.
