DH and I both "celebrate" St Nick which fills our stockings on the night of the 5th (so last night). We grew up doing St. Nick.
However, NONE of my coworkers know who St Nick is so I was curious if you guys did. I had taken chocolate santa's to all my coworkers and wrote on the name tag their name and from: St Nick.. everyone was like who's st nick.

My favorite part of the season is re-visiting this Sedaris bit.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Me too. I thought St. Nick/Nicholas was the German name for Santa Claus.
My mom says her Mor Mor (from Sweeden) always did it for them as children and now my mom does it for us and my cousins and now cousins' children.
Stand up for something you believe in.
this is my favorite David Sedaris story EVER!
I responded up above, but yes we always celebrated St. Nicholas day and would have shoes full of candy (in ziploc bags) outside our bedroom doors when we woke up on the 6th.
