Do you think Andy Reid should be fired?
And do you think he will be fired after this season?

Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
Re: Do you think Andy Reid should be fired?
I absolutely think he should be fired but I don't know that he will be because Jeff Lurie seems to love him. And to be honest, I think most teams are quick to blame and fire the head coach, but in this instance, I think it's time.
The deck was stacked in our favor at the beginning of this season and if the coaching had been better, our record might be better. Some will say that injuries plagued the team (especially Vick) but my thoughts are that if the coaching is better, the team is playing better. Vick's defenders would be doing their job and his likelihood of injury would go way down. That may be stretching it a bit but there you go.
Also, if you can't reign in the diva that is DeSean Jackson, let's find someone who will. Clearly he has trouble with this type of personality (TO, anyone?) Someone can only take the blame so many times, as he has in post game interviews, before there are consequences!
Yes, I think it's time to move on. Reid has never been able to rally his team. He is always the one to take blame for a loss (as he should be publically), but I also think that carries over in to the locker room and the guys feel no need to play for him. He's also not a strong enough personality to manage the high profile players that are on the team. Jackson has zero respect for anyone and is being allowed to act like a brat. But beyond him, I get the feeling that on some plays the players are only doing it because he said so, and feel no faith it will work.
I'm also really sick of him doing the same thing over and over again. If they hand off to McCoy and he gets a few yards... guess what? The next 3 plays are going to be a hand off to McCoy even if it fails every time after that first.
The promotion of Juan to defensive coordinator further highlights the fact that Andy has been able to hide behind competent staff members like Jim Johnson. At this point no one in the coaching staff is capable of making a good call and the players know it.
I do not, however, think that he is going to be fired. He has one year left in his contract and Jeff does love him. So, I think they're going to let him ride out his contract and not give him the opportunity for a renewal.
Was anyone else struck with terror when McNabb left the Vikings? He was saying he doesn't have a team lined up to go to. With Vick hurt all I could imagine was Reid calling up McNabb and going, "One more time buddy." At which point... I would have to move.
Oh boy, I have had some serious rants about this on FB. As a season ticket holder, the frustration level is at defcon 5
Even great coaches, after 10 years, need to move on. He has lost the audience - it's just not working. They have changed everything else and nothing has worked. I know the players need to play, but it is a coach's job to inspire the players to get out there and perform to their highest level. Why else do we have coaches?
That is assuming Reid is, in fact, a good coach. I hear people worry that if he gets fired, the Giants will scoop him up. GOOD! I welcome Reid as head coach of the Giants! I will pray for it!
I am sick of ridiculous press conferences where NOTHING is said - you might as well replay last week's. I am beyond fed up with the continuous clock mismanagement in EVERY GAME. It's like we have had a rookie coach for 10 years! Really, you need a timeout before a punt? WHAT?
I am astounded that we have the best RB in the league and start the game against the Seahawks with a pass (with your backup QB, no less) that ends in an interception. Or later in the same game, said RB gains 7 on 1st down, How do we follow that up? With 2 straight incomplete passes, while the best RB in the league is blocking
I am so frustrated I want to spit. I am frustrated with the national media who thinks we are a bunch of meanies who don't know what a coaching god Reid is. I remember Chris Berman saying "be careful what you wish for, Philadelphia" in regards to McNabb. Yeah, how did that work out? He really showed us!
I am even more frustrated because I do not think he will be fired.

Ditto. And I totally agree. Go eaglesfan!
hahahahaaaa.
I know, this was totally posted for eaglesfan! I was listening to Merrill Reese on KYW this morning and was like, I gotta know what ef thinks about all this.
I wish he would be fired, but I agree that Lurie is going to let him finish out his current contract, which SUCKS.
