So I stayed up until the 3rd quarter, I believe. I really don't know what to say about last night's performance. I saw the botched snap, classic. I am so tired of the running game. I thought since there was a new coach that he would open up with a long pass to start the game, but nooooooooooo three running plays and back to the other team. If that is what he going to do, just continue where Jack left off, then we don't need him either. If you were at home, then you got to listen to John Gruden's rant on why the stadium was empty, that we should have drafted Tim Tebow, blah, blah, blah. He's local you know.
On the other note, it was nice to see everyone support Kahn.
Re: MNF comments
I caught this and honestly (I realize this is an UO,) I have to agree with him. That would have been a marketing dream! I get it. We're having a horrible time, we need a decent quarterback (among other things) and the fans are seeing zero improvement while watching a local player they love do great things in a quarterback position for a team half way across the country. They're pissed. I get that. If we were doing well or had an awesome quarterback I don't think it would be as big of an issue.
No, I'm not on the Tebow love train and I understand that a lot of people will express their hate for him, but that boy would have filled seats.
It's ridiculous and totally unfair to expect the Jags to all of a sudden be the Packers because of what happened this week. Mel Tucker is a mediocre, relatively unseasoned defensive coordinator. He is NOT a head coach and this is just temporary until they hire a head coach in the off season.
The kind of playing we saw last night was seriously nothing different or shittier than what we've seen from Gabbert from the beginning of the season. They have to run the ball because Gabbert can't throw for sh!t plus he has no offensive line. It's a fuuking disaster. There's no potential for success with this combination.
This season is shot. The Jags will suck the rest of the season so please don't get your hopes up and then just trash the Jags the next day.
And OMG STFU about Tebow everyone. S.T.F.U. Tebow is not the only player in Denver. He can throw the ball because he has protection in the pocket and has the time. Please for the love of god give the rest of the team an inkling of credit.
This is exactly what annoyed me when he was a UF. Although in his defense, HE always gave the team credit, it was the media that turned the Tebow stuff into a freakin nightmare.
You're right, a new QB (no matter who it is) is not alone going to be the answer to their problems. They have several things that need to be fixed, but for the love of god it would be a step in the right direction. Like you said, the season is shot....lets cross our fingers for some magic in the off season.
I guess I should be glad that I didn't see it?
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

me too!
I am only on the caboose of the Tebow train. The only reason why I would have wanted him here is because he would fill the stadium. He does give his team credit. I think that he give praises to God that he got him through another Sunday. I think that Tebow is average and will always be. He will never be a Manning X 2, Brady, Vick, Rothlesburger sp? I agree with you LB that 1) Gabbart is craptastic and 2) that the offensive line is pretty bad. I think that with any QB, they would be suffering, but it is twice as bad because the QB sucks.
I want to know what the draft is going to look like. They always fucck it up anyway, so why should I get my hopes up.
