As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Pottermore beta user?
I *think* someone said on here that they were one of the Beta users for Pottermore? If so I have a couple questions that I would LOVE if you could help answer!
First, any news on when it will EVER open to the public? I check on the pottermore insider but I still don't have a clue.
Will there be a place to purchase the books for kindle? If so can we get other versions, such as the British version vs the American version?
Do you like it?
Ok, that's it...I'm just so impatient for it to open!!!

To answer your questions:
(1) I have NO idea when it will be open to the public. When it works for beta users, it is great! But the site can't even support all of its beta users yet. In fact, I can usually only get on at night California time. I know they are working hard to support more users, but I think the whole thing would crash right now if they opened it to the public :P
(2) There will be a place to purchase the books (I'm sure they will have the books in multiple formats and in a ton of languages).
(3) I LOVE it! It's super fun and pretty addictive!
Hope they open it soon! I only have 1 friend that is also a beta user so far . . .

I have a feeling it won't open any time soon,
especially given what Marick said. I've been checking every day to see if it's open, since October 1 (pretty ridiculous, but all I do is click on my bookmark to see if anything has changed).
I am torn, I'm so dying for Pottermore to open, but am a little irritated with their poor planning regarding going live. Would have been much easier to swallow if they said up front that it might be months before it goes live to everyone (isn't that how beta testing goes anyway?). How could they not know that it would have been insanely popular? They need to borrow from the Facebook playbook, on online gaming platforms, or something.
I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer; I just want to be in Pottermore just like the rest of you!

Looks like the site is actually down for everyone for a week (from the insider website):
Pottermore will be offline for at least a week from approximately 8:30am (GMT) on Saturday 3 December so we can make some further changes behind-the-scenes.
Maybe that's a sign that they are implementing software to handle more users? They have apologized profusely to the beta user for the website being so slow, they said that they honestly did not expect it to be so popular :P

It's a rare person, I'd imagine, that doesn't secretly wish that Hogwarts was real... and it seems like Pottermore is the closest thing to that.
Which house did you get sorted into, Margaret? I'm thinking I'd be put in Ravenclaw, but wouldn't mind Griffindor.
