I can't imagine it going through. I am assuming that the Wampanoag tribe will build theirs in Middleborough like they have been planning. That would put this one so close, plus it would also be relatively close to the casinos in CT, and the slot parlor in RI. I feel like geographically a casino at Suffolk Downs might attract a different population and benefit the state more.
Also, I don't like that the Krafts would be leasing the land to Wynn. Something feels weird about that situation, even though it is all legal. There is a casino next door to Heinz Field in Pittsburgh and that doesn't seem weird to me, but it's not all owned by the same person and is in the middle of a city. It's like the Krafts want to make tiny Foxborough into their own Disney World.
Re: WDYT of the casino in Foxborough proposal?
LOL at Disney World. I believe he owns 200 acres in Foxboro, so it'll be Kraftland regardless of whether there's a casino.

I think it would benefit the Patriots place hotel, restaurants and shops. Suffolk Downs would be interesting, but my fear is that it is so close to Revere, Lynn and South Boston, parts of the state that have a high population of low income residents that would be targets for the gaming industry.
A large, resort style casino might bring more crime, but it will certainly bring more jobs. Hopefully the town can have the casino pay for improvements on the roads to help with the increase in traffic.
