B-party ideas for Philly area
Ladies, I need help! My cousin's MaOH is planning her b-party for two days before the wedding (next Thursday) and doesn't know what to do. My cousin doesn't drink and isn't a partier. The MaOH is pregnant. She originally thought of dinner and a show in Philly, but the bride will be going to a show with her new DH the day after the wedding.
Any suggestions?? It will be held in the evening/dinner time.
Re: B-party ideas for Philly area
Dinner at a BYO (people who want to drink can bring some wine for themselves). I like La Viola (16th and Locust-ish I think) and they can accommodate a party (cash only though).
maybe see if there's any cool exhibits at the Art Museum? Or something at the IMAX?
A nice dinner out could be fun; depending on how many people go and where you go, it could be a couple of hours. Any of the Stephen Starr restaurants are fun (http://www.starr-restaurant.com/). My B party dinner was at the Continental, which is in a more bar-area, but there are a couple in the Rittenhouse Square area which has a ton of good shopping and is lit up for the holidays. Depending on how cold it is, you might not want to walk around, though. It's 60 now but who knows what it will be next week.
I'm assuming your cousin and her MaOH are from around here? So they know it's a little bit of a hike into the city?
I grew up in a town called Doylestown, which has some nice restaurants, places to get manis and pedis, too, is much closer than Center City, and could be fun. There is also the County Theater which is a historic theater and might be showing some good movies.
There are also some nice restaurants in New Hope, which is the next town over, or Lambertville, which is across the river in NJ.
If you need more recs, let me know. I have lived almost my whole life within a half hour of where you're staying.

Thank you so much for the suggestions ladies! I'll pass them onto the MaOH...and yes, she's from the area.
