It never fails that I end up sick during the week of parent-teacher conferences. I started with a sore throat on Saturday and it's gotten worse since then. As of a few hours ago, I have no voice and I can't call out of work tomorrow. I've had p-t conferences for the last two nights, but tomorrow is our late night when we're required to be there from 6-8, so I have 15 conferences between 4 and 7:30 that I would have to reschedule. Not only would it be a total PITA to have to reschedule all those conferences for next week (since I already have my conference times taken for Thursday and Friday), but with no voice, I wouldn't be able to make the phone calls anyway! So frustrating. I would love to just sleep in tomorrow and rest so that I can get better, but it's just not an option.

Part of me is hoping for no-shows too so that I can have some down time in between conferences, but if they no-show, I have to call to reschedule for next week, so that sucks too. At my school, we have to meet with every parent in order for them to get their kids' report cards. I guess I'm really just hoping they have pity on me and just sign the report cards and leave.
