Quick question about real glee clubs
Do the kids really have assignments like on Glee? Or do they primarily spend time practicing songs for performances and competitions? I've always wondered this when I watch the show. They do all these assignments and then plan for shows like 3 days out. LOL

As a former real gleek (lol) that would be insanely stressful IRL. I can imagine all the kids watching this show and joining up their high school show choirs and being largely disappointed.
I was in show choir throughout high school. We didn't have assignments, but we sang different songs all the time. Obviously our main focus was the songs for competition, but our director also had us do fun other songs on a regular basis so we didn't get bored.

Yeah.... I didn't imagine weekly assignments IRL but wondered if they existed at all. It does seem like it would be stressful but it's always so enlightening for them on the show. lol

I dont remember show choir being so drama filled and I was in drama too. We didn't need much enlightenment. lol
We had around 6 shows a year and then competition, so we were singing new stuff all the time, but I dont remember doing anything for fun. We got to pick our own songs for competition and that was always fun though.
