I am so disappointed in the way the season ended. Nothing really went the way that I wanted it to, except Juice is free.

I thought Kurt Sutter said that it would all be wrapped up. Really? That is what you call wrapped up? UGH!

Re: SOA - Spoilers
I was a little disappointed too. I expected some loose ends tied up, but Clay is still alive and they are still into drugs and guns.
I knew Jax wouldn't leave. And I thought it was pretty awesome how they transitioned to the picture of Gemma and John when Tara was standing behind Jax at the table.

Anyone notice how sad both John Teller and Jax looked at the head of that table? That's what makes me interested for next season--Jax clearly does not want to be doing this. And Tara seems to have resolved herself to it.
Also--the CIA thing was kind of weak. I saw it coming, but I wish it hadn't happened.
All in all, an amazing season with an average finale. I'm very interested in what the next season is going to do--I mean, Clay's still alive, but he, Tig and Gemma are marginalized. Tara is vengeful. Opie is MIA. Jax is miserable. Should be interesting, to say the least.

I pretty much agree with you 100%. The scariest thing about the CIA thing, at least to me, is that that probably actually happens i.e. our government backs one cartel to run off others. Yikes.
I do think next season will be intersting with all the stuff pointed out, plus what the sheriff said about the chick Tig killed being the daughter of some big gang player. There will be some blowback from that for sure.
So, no one but Jax, Tara, Opie, Gemma, Clay, and Unser know Piney is dead, right? Are the other guys ever going to find out? And can they just patch in Filthy Phil already? I love that guy.

A friend and I have been playing with a theory-- anyone think Lincoln Potter might be JT?
he had made a few statements about 'not revealing himself' the pictures of Gemma and JT.. looks kind of like him! The dance he did on the table- an irish jig perhaps?? Wayne did the accident report- maybe it was JT's way out? they never mention a corinors report...
maybe it is a stretch-- help me out.. has Gemma met Potter yet?? has Wayne??
Anyone want to help me de-bunk this one? or give me some more belief??
as far as the finale. it was meh- The CIA reveal was the biggest shocker moment. I felt like all this did was get us ready for next season. I didn't get the exciting shock holy crap that I did last year!
OK!! that is what I could not remember! I thought they met at the flower shop.
Ok- Theory Killed
I didn't really understand the table positions at the end and what was significant about Tig not sitting to Jax's right. He'd already resigned from being Sergeant at Arms, so if that was it, why would he sit there anyway? Maybe someone can enlighten me on that one if you pay more attention to their positions within the group.
I had to laugh about the CIA twist. Just when you think EVERY agency is involved, the big one trumps them all. What agency is going to pull rank next season? The UN Peacekeepers? The Orchid Police? It's just kind of laughable, especially when they turned around and blithely revealed themselves to Jax when that was totally unnecessary. They could have blackmailed him or threatened him into doing it some other way.
It seems very poor to keep Clay alive no matter what Gaalen said (so, if he was dead, the Kings would just stop dealing with the Sons? doubtful) because now he's a wounded beast and will be after them all.
I enjoyed the part Potter played in the end. Great weird actor who really sold the part and capped it off with how he doesn't like people. Now you see why.
Lastly I didn't care for the morphing from pic to pic at the end. That is the fakest possible pic ever and Gemma in the pic looks nothing like herself now. It was just disturbingly crappy.
1. To me it further symbolized the 'old guard' being pushed to the side. Tig is Clay's man, and Gemma's, through and through. He's also the definition of loose cannon and can't be trusted. Maybe in his mind he assumed: Jax is loyal to Clay, I am(was) Clay's SAA, therefore I will be Jax's as well. Obviously, his assumptions are wrong.
2. I kind of think so too, but I'm also interested in what the dynamic is going to be. I've read a few post-finale interviews with Kurt Sutter and he talks about how he felt killing Clay so soon after the "reveal" was too easy. I think that if he wanted Clay to stick around there was probably a better way of writing it so it wasn't a last minute save by the ::cough, what?!:: CIA and Gaelan.
3. Ray McKinnon (Potter) is excellent! He really pulled the character off. He's also in Deadwood and does a great job in that show, too.
4. I agree. It was over the top. SOA isn't a subtle show, and they already had the picture prominently placed in the last few episodes. What more do you need? We get it.

I thought the end was pretty good. The main thing I want to know is, what is in those letters that Gemma doesn't want Jax to know? It's obvious Gemma wants to stay involved in the goings on of the club and wanted Jax to be President and Tara to leave but I feel there's more to it than that.
I'm guessing next season will be more conflict with the niners. The season was just okay and I hope next season is a bit better.
Another theory killer -- when Jax went to visit JT's grave, you saw his year of birth -- 1940. That would make him currently 71.... wouldn't it? Resemblance aside... unless.. (more conspiracy here...) a brother from another mother?
